Telenor IoT will provide energy storage developer Polarium with managed IoT connectivity services globally as part of a new partnership.

The agreement outlines that Polarium will leverage Telenor IoT’s advanced cellular-managed connectivity to offer a diverse range of digital solutions including fleet management, remote monitoring, anti-theft, and tracking services, ensuring comprehensive coverage for energy storage systems.

Focusing on fleet management, Polarium’s service empowers users to remotely monitor, control, and optimise their entire fleet. By offering predictive and preventive management, the system identifies potential issues before they disrupt operations—ultimately saving valuable time and resources.

Users also stand to benefit significantly from data-driven insights, detailed analytics, and expert advice on battery usage, leading to intelligent resource allocation and early detection of potential errors. Consequently, this results in more efficient troubleshooting and warranty-compliant battery handling, providing users with peace of mind and efficient operations.

Moreover, Polarium has developed an intelligent anti-theft system that tackles the pressing issue of battery theft. This system incorporates a patent-pending locking mechanism and real-time tracking to provide enhanced security for energy storage systems.

Stefan Jansson, the founder and CEO of Polarium, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration:

“With Managed IoT Connectivity, we introduce solutions that streamline operations, reduce ownership costs, and provide anti-theft capabilities. We’re proud to partner with Telenor IoT on our ongoing transformation.”

Paulo Vergos, Chief Sales and Solution Officer at Telenor IoT, echoed Jansson’s sentiment, emphasising the alignment of Polarium’s innovative energy storage approach with Telenor IoT’s mission to provide dependable global IoT services, even in remote areas.

“Partnering with Polarium is a perfect match for our commitment to providing innovative IoT solutions. Polarium’s innovative approach to energy storage aligns with our mission to deliver dependable global IoT services to even the most remote areas,” explained Vergos.

Polarium is set to roll out Telenor IoT’s connectivity services initially in Sweden, focusing on their energy optimisation systems. The company anticipates expanding this solution to more countries in the future.
