On Dec.28th (GMT+8), We had a fascinating conversation with Nikolay Shkilev, PhD, the Co-Founder and CEO of ZELWIN.com, talking about his unique work experience and deep insights on the opportunities and challenges of blockchain’s development.

Jokia: How would you describe yourself in three words? What’s your motto?

Nikolay:

Decency, Positivity, Confidence

Rule: Be No. 1, Never be No. 2

Jokia: Can you please share more about your educational and professional background? And we’d love to hear what brought you to Blockchain.

Nikolay:

I finished the main University of Economics and Finance in Russia.

I also spent several years studying for a PhD in Economics.

Of course, were many different courses.

I got married at 17, at 18 I become a father.

Now I have three children. The eldest daughter is 22, the youngest son is 5 months old

I started working at 17 years old, I opened my first company at 19 years old. I made my first million dollars at 24. Now I am 40 years old.

About your question “What brought me to blockchain” – it was my hobby several ago, just for fun, I helped one friend, his project to competently package his project at the start of ICO and he earned 36 mln. $, after that projects lined up for me.

And now I think Blockchain - it’s our future like the Internet 30 years ago…

Jokia: When I first read your bio, I risk being overwhelmed by the amount of different roles you are recognized as and industries you are conducted in. A businessman with 20 years of experience of owning different types of businesses, ranging from Ecommerce, FMCG, medicine and logistics to IT technologies. So, my next question is basically about a paranoiac feature of your career: How does you combines so many interests and manage to be successful in all those areas?

Nikolay:

When you know how to make the first million dollars, then you start to understand how to make the second, third and so on.

Moreover, when you have a good understanding of economics, then it doesn't matter what kind of business you do. You can sell goods or services - it doesn't matter.

And I naturally have strong assistants.

Jokia: As a mentor& advisor to help dozens of projects worldwide, could you share 1-2 cases that impressed you most?

Nikolay:

Uniswap – fantastic results.

And of course ZELWIN - In 7 months we have grown 5 times as token and in 70 times as marketplace of goods.

Jokia: How do you think technologies are moving the world forward, and who should be the biggest actor on the market nowadays in order to push technology to the mass adoption?

Nikolay:

If we speak about a real big actors, in my humble opinion:

China with own national crypto currency, Elon Musk and maybe Libra 2.0

Jokia: From your experience and perspective, what’s unique and game-changing about Blockchain technology?

Nikolay:

Freedom, no borders and no sanctions. No censored.

With the help of blockchain, corruption and any bureaucracy can be removed.

Jokia: Zelwin is a global cryptocurrency marketplace of goods that has successfully combined blockchain technology with online shopping. How prepared is Zelwin to play a leading role in the post-coronavirus era?

Nikolay:

We launched in the spring, when there was the biggest fear of the corona virus. And despite this, we have grown dozens of times and are growing.

We have already signed over 600 partnerships.

Our capitalization on Coinmarketcap is $ 300 million.

In 2021 we want to reach $ 1 billion.

And I'm personally invite InnoKOL members for partnerships too.

Jokia: We’ve noticed that you are the famous and insightful speaker for many leading events, what’s your benchmark to select the top-tier conferences?

Nikolay:

I look at several factors at once:

1. Venue (location)

2. Number of people (Qty)

3. Level of speakers and projects

4. Reputation and conditions. If the management of the conference is ready to pay me for air tickets, a hotel, then I understand the level of the conference and that there will be other strong speakers. And thousands of people will come to the strong speakers.

WIN WIN strategy.

If the conference management is not willing to pay for anything, then strong speakers will not come and the conference level will be low.
