A three-year EU project funded by the Horizon 2020 programme called Robotics4EU wants input from the community to guide Europe’s robot future.
Robotics4EU aims to boost the adoption of robotics in Europe across a continent that is becoming increasingly sceptical of autonomous systems.
The initiative has released two surveys aimed at different stakeholders:

Each survey is estimated to take around 10-15 minutes.
The surveys will be used to guide Robotics4EU’s efforts which focuses on four key areas – healthcare, inspection and maintenance of infrastructure, agri-food, and agile production.
“[Robotics4EU’s] goal is to empower the EU-wide responsible robotics community, comprised mostly of robotics innovators from companies and academia in the areas mentioned above,” the initiative wrote in a press release.
Each survey helps to identify the needs, challenges, and bottlenecks that are preventing the wider adoption of robotics across Europe.
Part of Robotics4EU’s work is to raise awareness of the non-technological aspects of robotics including ethical, legal, socioeconomic, data, privacy, and gender issues. This will involve the organisation of events to build communities around robotics in addition to driving collaborative creation.
